My spiritual journey began when I was 8 by accepting Christ at a Campus Crusade meeting. After high school I totally dedicated my life to Christ at a Christian camp in California. I was discipled by Campus Crusade leaders all throughout college. Later I was Chairman of our local Christian Women's Clubs, was a Youth Pastor, and helped start a Christian camp for youth. I have been on Church and Youth Boards and President of PEO and Junior League.

I met Jaque Banas Shank in the spring of 2009, in Abilene, Kansas where she and I resided.. I took my first course in 2010, and became a Visionkeeper in 2011.

I became President of the Visionwriters International Board in 2014 and still lead the Board today.

I have been married to my college sweetheart Doug for almost 50 years! We have 3 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, an “adopted daughter and son-in-law” and 7 grandchildren.

My favorite things to do are pray, bridge, exercise, watching sports, and coffee with friends and family. I also love going to events for our grandchildren.

Also I especially enjoy facilitating VI classes for youth and adults of all ages!
