On February 16th of this year I was reading Mark 2:21-22 [NIV] for my quiet time with the Lord.
21 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. 22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”
I pondered this verse all day as the Lord was applying it to Visionwriters and the vision that He had going forward for the ministry.
That night as I was about to head to bed I was still praying about this verse and the Lord told me to journalize it for He wanted His message written down. This was not only for me but for the whole team as well. So I did a journal which you will see below.
I also was reflecting on Isaiah 54:2-3… In 2016, The Lord had prompted me at the Visionkeeper’s retreat to share this verse.
Isaiah 54:2-3a [NIV] 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;”
I have known since then that God still has big plans for the expansion of Visionwriters. I will say that I loved His words about the new wine and new wineskin!

Journal…
Cindy, remember your brother Tom’s house that was destroyed by the tornado. The new owners built a new house on the existing foundation, for it was still in good condition. It did not look the same as Tom’s house… no, it had a new look… but was on the same foundation. You have been building on the foundation that I gave to Jaque which is great: the journalizing to hear My voice, knowing your true identity, and knowing My character, etc.
But now I have been having you build a new house on top of that foundation: a new wineskin – Isaiah 54:2-3a “enlarge your tent pegs…to go out…” – a new website, new 501 (c) (3), new logo, new trademark, everything legal, a wineskin to be relevant to today’s world. Same ingredients…it is just a new wineskin that carries the wine… the wine is new, but still has the characteristics of previous wine.
I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. I am the same God in the Old Testament times as in the New Testament. I came not to do away with the law but to fulfill it. Same wine, ingredients, but I came to take the next step that needed to be taken. In Old Testament times, My Father constantly pointed to Me, the Messiah coming… He even had the Jews sacrifice lambs. But then came the new wine, Me, the actual Lamb of God, a one-time sacrifice… a new understanding… a new filling of the Holy Spirit, for they were now ready to carry the new wine in their temple bodies which are their new wine skins. Together a new house…
The message is the same, Cindy, that I love the world and have done it all. Now I am sending Visionwriters International out to tell the Truth to this generation, this desperate generation that needs to hear in a new way. This is My vision: new wineskins, new website, new sharper course structure, new house…..as I lead.
I get it now. Thanks Lord… our vision from You… revised yet the same. New, yet old. Thanks for the personal touch today, Lord. Amen.
