How has your intimacy with God deepened as a result of journalizing?

"Since beginning this class and daily journalizing, I have been hearing from God as he guides me into the truth of His Word. I have been able to understand and apply the scriptures as never before. The communication between me and the Lord has opened up and I feel alive again."  – Allen Kurtz | Miracle in the Mirror

What was the most life-changing revelation that you received during this course?

"I think the most life-changing revelation that I have had during this course is that I am not becoming, but rather I am already exactly who He needs me to be. All that I have to do is to labor to enter into his presence to discover who I am. He is able to give his rest when I allow Him to work through me as me, since my spirit is joined with Him and I live FROM Him. " – Kennedy Reimer | Reflections in Righteousness

How has your intimacy with God deepened as a result of journalizing throughout this course?

"I love Visionwriters, because it does force me to pause. To pause and listen to God speak and I feel like through every course that intimacy just grows and grows. I also feel more intimate with God as I learn more about him through the course. There are truths that I've known about, but sometimes I've only scratched the surface and Visionwriters drives it home deeper. Or old lies I still believe, that Visionwriters gently correct and guide to new info." – Emily Koop | Reflections in Righteousness

Would you recommend Visionwriters™ to a friend?

"Yes, and I already have! It changes the way you communicate with God and the way you view who you are in him. There is freedom in his truth, whereas the world wants to keep you in bondage by creating doubt. This course helps individuals see themselves through the lens of Christ." – Janelle Amperse | Miracle in the Mirror

How has the discipline and accountability you experienced enriched relationships and a sense of community?

"It showed me how much I miss my church community and serving. While I'm in Arizona visiting my folks, I don't usually attend church. I don't have a church here. Through this study, I found myself craving fellowship and community. I have since found a home church while I'm in Arizona and am going through the process of being cleared to volunteer when I'm here." – Janelle Amperse | Miracle in the Mirror

In what way was the Visionwriters™ experience a blessing to you?

"The feedback I received online and during class was amazing. Seeing their faith was such a blessing and encouragement to me!" – Janelle Amperse | Miracle in the Mirror

What was the most life-changing revelation that you received during this course?

"Understanding the process of sanctification has been so impactful for me. I don't think I truly understood what that meant or what that looked like, but it's been so freeing to accept the fact that this is a lifelong process. Knowing that the Lord is actually pleased with my neediness and continual surrender, rather than that being a bad thing, like it is in the world's eyes, has also helped me to understand my identity as a new creation that struggles with the old habits." – Roxi Roberts | Reflections in Righteousness

How has the discipline and accountability you experienced during this course enriched relationships and a sense of community?

"How blessed I am to be able to grow closer in my walk with the Lord, and grow closer to my sisters in Christ. I have been able to share my Vision Writer's experience with some of the same ladies each time and also I get to build new relationships with those that I haven't done a course with before. The intimacy of sharing our journals and how God speaks to each one of us in different ways builds community at a deeper level."  – Dwynne Riegel | Reflections in Righteousness

What was the most life-changing revelation that you received?

"I'm the one who keeps placing myself in bondage. I have been given peace and freedom from God. He wants me to step out in faith to do his will, no matter the trials I face or have been through. Allowing the depression to stifle my walk with God is on me. He will free me from it, but I have to be willing to do as he calls me to do!" – Janelle Amperse | Miracle in the Mirror

How has the discipline and accountability you experienced during this course enriched relationships and a sense of community?

"It is always such a blessing to build an intimate community during the studies. Ones that we can continued into the future. The accountability is such a blessing and as we are accountable to each other that encourages the discipline & habits to continue as we move on outside of the study. It is helpful to know we are all in it together & love each other with the love of Christ and desire the best for each other." – Ivy Graves | Hope and The Purple Onion

How has the discipline and accountability you experienced enriched relationships and a sense of community?

"The members of the class and I have grown together and I feel a connection to them as we all serve the Lord together, even though the class was virtual and I have not met them in person yet. Having someone that holds me accountable to do what I said I would do has helped me to develop some great habits that I did not have before the class. This has been very valuable to me." – Allen Kurtz | Miracle in the Mirror

What was the most life-changing revelation that you received?

"Our feelings/flesh are misleading and ultimately you should seek the truth in God's word. We look to only please God and not to please man. Doing certain things because the world would deem it the "Christian" thing to do can sometimes be misleading, ironically enough." – Grace & William Bishop | Miracle in the Mirror

A Lesson from God Through a Goat: Calita Niland

A Lesson from God Through a Goat If my title draws your interest, then do I have an opportunity for you! All my life, growing up I’ve been a talker. If you live around a talker, you know how pesky that can be. So early on, I realized that God is a patient listener and He is capable and desirous to speak with His humanity, His children. Many people believe in God, but to hear His voice... What!...

Obedience of Faith: By Tina Barr

My husband, Diego, and I have been living in Guatemala since August 1, 2021.  We have 5 children and 3 grandchildren who live in the United States.  When God led us to serve here, I planned to travel back and forth for holidays and special events (weddings, births, or funerals).  I never imagined that regular travel would not be possible.  But in December of 2021, we made a trip back to the...

My Healing Journey: A Visionkeeper’s Testimony

Martha Beggs shares a portion of her healing journey through journalizing. We pray that a glimpse into her journey and the loving, encouraging words she received would also encourage you! Background on Martha’s medical journey: Following a knee replacement in June 2019, a 2nd surgery was performed in July 2019, due to a suspicion of infection that needed to be cleaned out. As it turned out,...

The Rewards of Faith: By Wilma Bartell

I am often asked, “What does Visionwriters mean to you?”  In thinking about the spiritual impact that Visionwriters has had on my life, I come up with one simple sentence:  I cannot imagine my life without Visionwriters. I grew up in a home, church, and community, where I was taught about God’s grace.  I accepted Christ as my personal Savior during middle school years as the Holy Spirit drew me...

We are Called to Be Free: By Alicia Iles

In Luke 13:10-17, Jesus healed the handicapped woman.  In verses 10-13, the Bible says, ”Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath, And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.  But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, ‘Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.’  And He...

From Brokenness to Abundant Life: By Kathy Schinhofen

My name is Kathy Schinhofen and I love Visionwriters International.  As I have often said through the years, I am a lifer!!!  I have come from brokenness to abundant life through Jesus!   I first came to Visionwriters in January of 1981.  I was very hurt and broken.  I was abandoned by my father, raised by an abusive stepfather and an alcoholic mother, and I had no hope of ever being whole.  I...

A New Creation: By Brett Graves

Shiloh Ranch opened its gates in 2007 with an overall goal of sharing the love that God has for us and  bringing a message of healing to those who walked down the drive. Ivy and I both soon realized that this journey He had given us would impact us just as much as He would impact the families that called Shiloh their home away from home.  As Shiloh was able to minister to the youth and families...

A Faith Journey to Guatemala: By Terry Cook

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”  - Romans 5:5My name is Terry Cook, and this is the story of how I came to live and to serve in Guatemala.  My journey to Guatemala started as a vague shadow in 2014, when my daughter Jordan worked as a summer intern at a children’s home (Eagle’s Nest) in Guatemala,...

Yesterday, Today, and Forever: By Cindy Sheern

On February 16th of this year I was reading Mark 2:21-22 [NIV] for my quiet time with the Lord. 21 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. 22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new...

Continuing a Legacy: By Cindy Sheern

Welcome to the first blog for our new Visionwriters International website. We are so glad that you are here!  I want to start this first blog by giving tribute to the founder of Visionwriters International, Jaque (Banas) Shank. In the 1970’s God touched Jaque’s heart and taught her how to journalize the Word of God and to know her identity in Christ. It so changed her life that others began to...
